The Secret Life of Tennessee Williams
Tennessee Williams walks into a small Yale University lecture hall in the early 1980s. His career as a playwright is already on the wane. The end of his stage production and also of his life is approaching.
The young audience attending the meeting is very apathetic in the presence of one of the most important American playwrights of the 20th century. Only a dog that accompanies one of the students seems to pay close attention. When he finishes his talk, a student asks him if it is true that his theatrical career is over. He, without flinching and with a smile on his lips, replies: "Look, ask the dog about that."
The show begins with this anecdote and it is the perfect summary to explain the personal attitude of this special, controversial and controversial man of the theatre.
